SnorkelPlus Concept

SnorkelPlus is a new concept in recreational diving combining surface snorkeling with repetitive shallow scuba. Snorkel, descend with scuba,explore underwater, ascend back to the surface and snorkel on to your next dive location. Repeat as often as your air supply permits for the full duration of your dive session. SnorkelPlus is derived from “Yo-Yo” diving commonly practiced in commercial aquaculture and in naval diving around the world.

Buoyancy Control Harness

A conventional scuba Buoyancy Control Device (BCD) is not
suitable for SnorkelPlus. These back mount air supply. This weight out of water is heavy and has the effect of submerging a diver snorkeling face down on the surface. In contrast the purpose designed and patented SnorkelPlus Buoyancy Control Harness (BCH) front mounts air supply. This weight is buoyed in water. It is therefore light making snorkeling comfortable and the twin cylinder configuration contributes to diver
stability.

Training is focused on what a participant needs to know and practice to dive responsibly and safely using self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (scuba) to shallow depths in sheltered open water locations. Courses are easy and fun and are completed in a single day.
